I know this is not really within the topic of this blog, but a few days ago I read an article in the New York Times by Professor Stanley Fish that annoyed me so much I decided to write a comment about it. This smug, pretentious, hypocritical professor claims that in the future tenured professors in the humanities will cease to exist. (Or am I just mad because I have a degree in the humanities?)
To my surprise, no comments had been written (or at least published, as I would later find out). I just now checked to see if my comment was published and had to scroll through SIX PAGES of comments to find it.
Anyway, here are links to the article and the comment.
Look at me - I'm turning French!
